Minions are very weak right now, where they were barely middle of the pack in 0.1 . Sorcerer had big damage nerfs especially for lightning builds and monk saw big nerfs to staves.
So it's not you. the game's balance is not implemented anywhere near correctly yet and it'll probably be a while before it becomes reasonable.
Mind you: GGG seems very intent on destroying 'lazy' one button builds.
Bow, spear, qstaff or xbow builds all works on her, just tweak it to grab acc/crit/crit damage and you get 100% crit/500+% crit damage monster.
But shouldnt all classes have be some sort of equal in there balance..
Minions are bit tricky. You need some knowledge to put propper support on them and use spells that further boost their efficiency. I remember in 0.1 using firewall/raging spirits with poison to break armor to make skeleton snipers pretty strong. Like... it could be complex, not just summon generic skeleton and go.
Yeah i know..i played it in 0.1 but then RS and FW still worked great. Not sure if i misred it but one build creator mentioned those are already nerfed alot and arent really useful anymore. Thats why i changed to Monk in 0.1 and played this invoker monk which was great. But like i said...on all the build pages i havent seen one monk or sorc in the at least top 20
Take your monk build and slam it on amazon.
Coincidentally, balancing enemies will also be a nightmare, because what exactly is the basis for balancing them when the freedom of choice is too large. Should enemies be on the level as a new guy coming into the game who just builds whatever that is just slightly coherent? Then proper builds would simply steamroll the game. So lets take proper builds as basis then, which means the sub-optimals have very little fun because they are slogging through the game and the overperforming builds are still steamrolling. So the overperforming builds then? Nah, everyone would lose here.
Its just silly and we can see the problems already, which will never stop by the way. It will eventually turn into PoE 1, where people have to look up how to build a character because its just not a good experience to learn the game for themself.
Don't use builds for poe 2 for new leagues. Streamers are not showing godly stuff for leveling as they don't even know them. And mostly someone doing builds for them.
For Warrior try to put just all in dmg and stun buildup and use leap slam to trivalize campain and bossing during leveling trough campain. You can just simply hold leap slam on bosses and no need even to roll with +/- medium quality weapon for your level.
this game is very noob friendly when we talk about building your char. Even my not-gamer gf made her build with no guides beside i have explained to her how it's workingm. Like just.. This dmg, stun doing that and elements do that".
if she don't need to follow any guide - even gamer casuals don't need to follow guides.
Explore and match elements. That's all. Some characters are easier or harder like monk is hard to play - but also. Everyone are just playing with new asc and huntress.
So i started the game curious like most others with the Huntress. Did my first few levels and switched (yes i used a build) to rake. That was pretty much a smasher...melted the smaller and big boss in act 1 like a warm knife through butter. Got to act 2 and i slowly notice a DMG drop somehow. So for the moment i thought "okay lets try something else"
Tried the Minions on the Witch but the skeletons die faster than they respawn...so i also stopped at level 10 and tried the warrior. Wanted to go to 2 2h weapons and used leap slam until i unlock sunder...but when i reached the boss in act 2 and it took me like 10 mins and more before i died..tried a few times....then gave up.
