What are 'Points' and what can you get with them?

I was looking into buying this games early access but noticed that you get 'Points' when purchasing any of the three editions. What do these things do?

Ingame shop. Almost entirely cosmetic things, but if you are new player, you will like few special stash tabs once you start farming endgame. Its one shop for both games.

They're for the shop, you can check a web version over at https://www.pathofexile.com/shop but keep in mind that many aren't currently compatible with PoE2. But it should give you a hint as to what is sold and at which price points. Things in that store do get on sale from time to time, so don't expect to pay full price.

Bare minimum you want at least a currency tab and a premium tab. Makes it a lot easier to manage things as the currency tab lets you stack everything much higher and the premium tab lets you list stuff for trading if you wanted to.
