Most of my currency disappeared!!!!

Around almost 8h ago I was keeping some staff in my stash and putting few items on sale. My game crashed and I decided to go to sleep (it was +2:00 a.m. here).

Now that I have logged back, I see all my 69 exalted orbs dissappeared, also all my regal orbs except for 2, every chaos orb, every orb of chaos and, what is even worse, my only Perfect Jeweller's Orb is away too.

How is it possible??? Nobody has access into my account. What could I do??? Where should I open a ticket?? And how can I demonstrate I am not lying???

This is so frustrating... This has taken away my appetite of playing :(

Yes because pdfs and jpegs need to be rendered.
txt files are not.

You need another medium to execute the code in a txt.

Well, it's not my case. I don't use any 3rd party program, nor open any shared link by any Steam friend, nor share my account, nor anything. I even don't visit any risky web in this computer.

This has been a bug 100% sure. There is no other explanation.

Anyway, I did read CCC will never restore any HardCore dead character nor any lost item, no matter what.

So I'll just have to almost start again with my currency. The only things that really hurt are 1- that Perfect Jeweller's Orb and 2- not being able to make rare maps since I got just 2 regal orbs until I farm too many rare items once again.

You lost items and didn't contact customer support, who would see a perfect image of losses/gains and account logins, and you're content to "just move on?"

Yet you felt compelled to post on the steam forums? And are satisfied with it just being a random bug?

Yet you felt compelled to post on the steam forums? And are satisfied with it just being a random bug?

As son as I discovered what happened I did 3 things:

1- Send an e-mail to the support e-mail which appears in the official Path Of Exile website.

2- Write this post after not finding any similar bug in the forum.

3- Wrote to Steam support even if I guessed that wouldn't help, just in case.

Then I looked for info and I found out Grinding Gear Games is taking really long to answer those e-mails, since they got many requests due to different things, like a dev being hacked in an afk account (which resulted on at least 66 user's accounts being stolen).

Before the first step I also did read the next thing in the main Path Of Exile website:

<<We can not restore dead hardcore characters or lost items for any reason. This is a general policy and we do not make exceptions. Due to bugs, items may be lost or characters may die due to reasons outside of your control. Please do report these incidents in the Bug Reports forum, but do not contact support asking for restoration. We are working hard to fix the underlying problems so that such losses do not occur in the future.>>.

So no, I didn't ask them for any restoration, since it would be just a waste of time.

Maybe you shouldn't presume what people have done and should have done. Clearly you didn't know they won't restore any lost item no Matter what.

nah, you came straight here with OMGZ MY ITEMZ GONE BUGGGG!!!!!! and then backpedaled. Otherwise why wouldn't you mention "I reached out to customer support but got no response yet" in your original post? You're also asking in the post "how can I demonstrate I'm not lying" which is odd to ask AFTER you apparently reach out to customer support.

The 66 accounts are covered in that thread: they're compromised via the admin privileges, not player accounts. And those 66 accts simply had notes deleted. Not "gained access to them" directly.

So no, this was always a nothingburger: inform others of the bug, post it in the bug report forums (i don't see that in your 1 2 3 above, eh) and we're good.

But please don't insult others' intelligence by claiming you did one thing when this post finds you asking "how you can prove it" while simultaneously now you're claiming "i read the main website which states there's nothing I can do about restoration."

Why would you need to prove it if you know there's no point to proving it? etc.
