can i equip (or even possess) two copies of the same "unique" ring?

just wanted to ask before i buy it. narrowed it down to rings since other items have a natural limit of equipping more than one.

Yup.
Unless it's specified explicitly that you cannot equip a ring.
I think there's a unique ring or item that makes you only have 1 ring.
