Its okay to cheat in this game?
Elon admitted to cheating but GGG wont ban because they're cowards.

He admitted to spending real money unfortunately, and yeah, normal people do get banned for doing the same. It may be naive or idealistic, but surely it can't be wrong for people to want equal enforcement of the rules. 🤷

its not wrong, its misguided. not everyone breaking those rules gets banned. his fame doesnt inherently make his transgression worse. your knowledge of it doesnt make it worse.

there are a lot of feelings caught up in this search for "justice". realizing this goes a long way to not giving a ♥♥♥♥ about it.

if he gets banned he can do it again, and likely will.
it wont stop people from doing it
its not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of life
even if they ban him, it doesnt mean GGG gives a ♥♥♥♥ about the rule

these are uncomfortable realities. again, youre not wrong per se, its just not really worth the emotional or mental investment

Ban Melon and remove that character from leaderboards, kthx. Else GGG will lose integrity on providing a fair multiplayer environment.

Just so you know, regardless of what "who cares" bros say, content creators will continue farming this topic for at least a few weeks so GGG may be pushed to make a statement eventually. Streamers that compete for the ladder won't let this go.

cheating has been OK in POE since its launch 10 years ago. everyone buys items direct from cheat websites. why do you think theres a million bot advertisements. they wouldnt advertise if there was no market

losers who compete for the ladder dont bring in enough engagement compared to someone like elon. money talks and elon is rich

This is true, and we really appreciate said "everyone", they make it so we don't have to have normal jobs.

You are talking about breadth vs depth. Those that compete bring in great depth and are very important for the quality of this game. You can have your money talks and get another 0 skill game like d4. I don't want it watered down, you are free to accept everything like a passive individual.

No surprise. This is explicitly stated in the EULA, yet the game remains full of bots:
c) Utilize any automated software or 'bots' in relation to your access or use of the Website, Materials, or Services.

Here's another clause:
You must keep all password and login information associated with your Member Account confidential and not disclose such information to any third party or allow a third party access to your Member Account without first obtaining Grinding Gear Games' written consent.

So, I guess Elon must have obtained consent from GGG for these actions!

Actually, that's not true. It directly violates the POE EULA, which explicitly states 'any third party,' meaning even your mom would count in this case. Technically, you can let your mom play on your account only if you have written consent from GGG. In all other cases, it would be a clear violation of the EULA and could potentially lead to a ban.

But GGG are the ones who enforce these rules, and it's entirely up to them whether they choose to enforce them.

you know streamers and youtubers also never get banned for having illegal cheats and stuff, plus account sharing no body really cares, boosting no body really cares i boosted my friends in d4 before i boosted randos in borderlands 1 and 2 only when theyre in your party is then only ok to boost people,

elon is no acceptation to the anti banning rule all youtubers and streamers are also excluded from ever getting banned(which is pretty unfair as i seen some pretty modified game files stuff)

Trying to debate morality on the internet is a Fool's Errand.

And besides we both know you're not interested in a real debate, you just want to find out who agrees with you and to yell at anyone who doesn't.

If you need points it's probably just easier to ask for them, instead of trying to fish for jesters by stirring the drama pot using this week's most controversial figure.
