Death After Killing the Boss
Hi,
I believe the game's behavior should be changed when a character dies after defeating the boss.

Today, I defeated the Act 1 Final Boss. Unfortunately, right after the kill, my character died as well. In this situation, I was allowed to proceed to Act 2, but I didn't receive any loot. I think this is far worse than having to repeat the boss fight. Why?

When I die during the boss fight, I can immediately retry it.
However, if I die after the boss fight, I have to reset the instance and go through all the dungeon levels again just to claim my rewards.

I believe this should be changed. Either the items should remain available, or I should have the option to repeat the fight to claim my rewards.

What do you think?

don't die. You will get better loot in the next act anyway if you manage to defeat the the next zone boss.

Yeah, considering the status of loot right now, it shouldnt be a big deal. But i understand the same can happen with quest rewards and progression rewards, which is a big deal. But to my understanding they are aware and will most likely change it in the future.

It's brutal but i accept that is the game design.

I entered Arrogat to kill a unique and see 2 Unique drops as i fell to the floor and knew that i would never ever posess them.

I was a ranger and one of them was a bow - it is brutal but it is the game.

This is the Dark Souls of ARPG's and I have come to accept it.

You can repeat the fight however ... just use the waypoint to go back to the location and fight the boss - if its not reset just hold ctrl when you click and create a new instance.

But the function you speak of is very Diablo 4 and ultimately there is a reason why the design between the 2 are quite different - they are to appeal to different tiers of ARPG players
