Choose one that you find most fun? but yeah, StormWeaver is pretty good.
A lot I'm going to say here is more about the late endgame so you might not understand it all if you're new to the game, but let's go over some things anyway.
You mention that they're expensive and yes the best gear is, but I think infernalist can be quite budget friendly to get started, while the storm weaver gear can be a bit more expensive because it wasn't until I got 4k mana and at least 26k spark dps that the build started feeling good, still the gear can be obtained for less than 1 divine per piece for both classes to get to a level that is possible to clear all content easily.
If I were to rank ease to play, until I can get my storm weaver to ridiculous high levels of energy shield and mana, I think infernalist is way easier, way more tanky because the way the hound absorbs damage taken passively, easy to reach 8k shield and nearly 2k reserved life, and you have 10+ bodies soaking damage and projectiles,
Also infernalist damage on bosses is quite a bit higher at least on my build, so I can stun them faster and often skip all their mechanics, but the storm weaver damage can be higher at the high end of gear that I haven't reached yet, my spark is about 41k tooltip dps and I'm at 4.5k mana, if I doubled my spark and had 6k mana, it would surpass the infernalist.
Infernalist has far more variety in term of build. There is a few of them and all of them is pinnacle and breach grind viable. Not as braindead but definitely less boring.
