Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Turning Jewellers into 3 tiers brought a major flaw that can be easily fixes
With poe1 jewellers you could get any number of socket if your item allowed it
The odds we just lower the higher the number of sockets was

But in POE2 this has been reworked to have Jewellers giving specific number of sockets

the major flaw this creates is... useless currency

Im sitting on 400 lesser jewelers because it has been like a month that i have not needed them

Once you use one on you main all your skills, they become useless. Hence why they are 1exalt: 130 lesser jeweller on trade

Simple Fix to this:

- Lesser jeweller orb grants 100% chance of second gem socket, 10% of a third, 1% of a 4th
- Greater jeweller orb grants 100% chance of a third gem socket, 10% of a 4th
- Perfect jeweller grants 100% of a 4th socket

That way you dont get obsolete currency
and you still give people the option/path of trying the odds VS going for the expensive yet sure route

you should be able to combine 30 lessers or however much into 1 greater or something.

Then sell your lesser orbs and buy the perfect orb orb or wait to be very very lucky

Meanwhile people that don’t mind clicking will spend their lesser orbs defying RNGesus

speaking of which, how can i get the top tier orb atm (other than from trade)? is it level-gated? i read that rarity mods only affect items, not currencies, and j-orbs are technically a currency, so stacking up rarity shouldn't affect them.

I’m lvl 95 and found 20+ divines and no perfect orb yet

That’s why I think it’s stupid for lessen orbs not to also acts as rng rollers

I mean I found around 6 raw divines and 4 Perfects, I took the Atlas node to find more socketable currency in Grass maps, and every one I found was in a grass map

found 2 perfect, guess4 4link, 12div, 5 rare items no enchant sold for 16 div-6(because I vaaled 2 to death).

enhanted hundreds of rings, amulets, jewels.. maybe 10 to 20 div.
And I’m not even asking this because I need it, as I said I got everything in need 6L
It’s just that
Been alpha for years in the early days of poe1

This is the kind of improvement that was looked for and made the game better

Sell them or use them. You can still use bunch of them once you start vaaling low socket gems for extra lvls/quality. Support/spirit gems often dont need 5/6link, so you can throw tons of lesser orbs on them without consuming higher orbs.

Its not a problem, just stop picking them up, or just sell them. its not like they are taking up space unless you are a special case who hordes everything but has no currency tab.

If you want to try the odds, try corrupting your skill gems, that way you have a chance at rolling an additional slot.

not a flaw at all, just trade them away for 1 exalt per 130.

on the other site your "fix" would dramaticaly reblanace the value of socket gems.
you could just ask for increasing the droprate of perfect orbs by 100x instead.

whatever, maybe the devs just decided that "loot" is more important for their game then simply inventory gambling
Perfect jeweler orbs are way too rare. I'm nearing level 96, grinding for over 200 hours in end-game, and I still only saw one drop. I bought 2 other I wanted to use on my build. Perfect jeweler orbs are equivallent of a six-link in PoE1, yet you could get early six-link fairly fast and you would be able to get one or buy one by mid-tier maps for sure. This is not the case in PoE2.
This is not a huge issue at the moment as you do not need "six-link" to progress through Atlas quests and while looking for citadels at the same time. However, eventually you want to get your maxed out skills, at least the main one, and at the rate perfect jeweler orbs drop you might need to buy them as you might never see one to drop by yourself.
Still waiting GgG
