Just A Threat Echo has Path of Exile 2

Have I just lost all this stuff?

I was fighting the mad wolf, getting killed over and over until I finally got him. However, I died at the end and was unable to click respawn at checkpoint or town. A chaos Orb, exalted orb and grand mana flask appeared after the wolf was put out of his misery which allowed me to respawn. I went down the elevator expecting the items to be there but instead there was nothing and I was stuck unless I used a portal to town.

I assume that the stuff is just gone but was wondering if anyone had this happen.

Had a feeling. Also I'm currently unable to respawn AGAIN with the message "you do not have the required quest state" when I press respawn at checkpoint and all I can do is exit to the character screen etc.

If you die then the area restarts and you lose everything on the ground. Isn't it FUN that way? The devs know how to create TENSION by making you scared to death of one shot puddles under the foliage, it brings a sense of DANGER in the game that you can lose whatever trash you might of gotten to a cold burst that happens 3 seconds after the boss is dead. masters of the yin and yang, ggg has showed us they know all about risk/reward game design with xp loss and very very few item drops. You want to craft your own item OP? I don't think so, you're welcome.

exalts get more and more common as you level up. especially at endgame.

if it wasnt in your inventory it was never yours. Sorry it happened tho its gotten me a few times.

Yea, it popped up but I was already dead also my controls were locked for some reason on top of that -_-
