Elemental attacks unbalanced?
As a melee class, I have focused heavily on armour, but elemental attacks don't seem to take armour into account at all. I've tried to add resistences and I don't have them maxed out or anything, but I still am at risk of getting killed in one or two hits by a mage that may or may not even be all the way on the screen. It seems odd to me how little armour blacks any damage other than physical. I get that it is supposed to balance armour, but this seems off to me. I'm in the endgame, fighting 5 levels below me, with solid levels of armour and pretty decent health regen, but it doesn't do anything for me. Maybe I'm just building my character wrong.

The general rule of PoE1 was that you always must have your elemental resistances maxed once you reached the endgame, no matter what. And so far it seemes to be pretty similar in PoE2.

Also, Armor always had been quite weird, since it is really effective against weak hits but nearly useless against strong hits. Meaning, if a physical hit would one shot you without armor, it will most likely also one shot you with armor, unless you have utterly ridiculous amounts of armor. Which was actually pretty doable in PoE1, but in PoE2 it does seem a lot harder to reach that. Which why so far the general consensus is that armor feels pretty weak in PoE2, which is probably also why they tried ot buff armor with the latest update.

Yea the endgame for this game is horribly unbalanced. I have 3 times the health and resistances of some of my other char and I'll still get killed before I can even dodge roll.

I mean.. armor gives you only physical damage reduction from attacks and spells.
If you want elemental damage reduction you need elemental resistance, duh.

You want your resists close to 75% or higher. even goin from 68% to 75% is noticeable in endgame.

First of all in POE (1 and 2) Armor only reduces Physical Damage. If you hit Maps you want 75 % (or more in Case of an Elemental Weakness debuff on you Waystone/Map) in every Elemental Resistance. Also you want as much Chaos Resistance as you can get. Otherwise you will get slaughtered.

Secondly Armor sadly is in a very bad state in POE 2 since the harder the hit, the less it absorbs. They apparently even nerfed it badly compared to POE 1, where it's not great for that either. This point probably won't concern you until later stages of endgame but it's still an issue. They'll probably try to fix it at some point, but that might take some time.
I am pretty tanky with 4k hp warrior at highest maps hardcore mode. My tank comes from overcapped res, like 85% all. Developers hate armour and hate melee so expecting armour to protect against big hits won't happen. But overcapping ele res helps a lot. 75 res is not enough at higher tier maps if you want to chill, especially against dmg mods.

Regarding the "15% armour buff", I don't feel any tankier, if anything, I am less tanky now. Because they added more enemies, changed how enemies work in each map. Blood Elementals new enemies hit hard.

if your a warrior your forced to use flame cloak to convert all physical damage into fire damage. max out your resistances otherwise without these two things your not making it to end game. that 15% buff to armor not only applied to players but enemies as well.

Not sure if forced because I don't use that dress. But it's pretty strong which is funny, since it's a caster armour and not meant to be used by warriors with high STR.
