Exalted Orb drops in SSF

Played the game with 5 characters up into the 70's in standard, decided to make a new character in SSF Since I am not into trade.
Once I got into Act 2 at the end I stopped getting anything meaningful for gear or crafting all the way thru cruel and into maps. I made by with extremely low Resistances and only due to playing Ice monk was I able to make it.

Now I am running T4 maps and burned out with playing the game, bored out of my mind with garbage gear and next to no Exalt drops, cant upgrade gear at all. Just feels really bad. I have 51% rarity, trying to juice up waystones and towers as best as I can and still like wtf the drops are fu$%ed bad for me.

I have re logged into other servers and logged off many times to come back and see if that helped, nothing. I mean WTF over. Anyone else getting this issue the last three days. Anyways just wanted to rant some pissed off steam and see what others are noticing with drops and being able to get exalts to use on making better gear.

I got extremely lucky last night. Like 4 exalts in like 2 hours in act2 campaign lol. 2 in the trial alone.

Get more rarity. I get up to 100 raw exalts per map rn.

I'm in this limbo state in T6 Maps. I could put on some Rarity but I lose all my Mana, Energy Shield.

I don't have a Divine yet and only 6 Exalted Orbs. I can just go buy me some stuff in Trade.

All the Yellow drops have Armour and random stats I don't need. Some drops I could exalt and I've tried but I'm just wasting my Exalts trying that.

idk. Feels bad. Barely got the campaign done with crap Resistances.

With 90%+ rarity you swim in currency and uniques. I suggest you to have alt gear to farm low risk maps with high rarity until you feel comfortable. The other issue you probably have is that you are exalting everything without even noticing "just one more" addictive behaviour. The game induces this so not your fault, just be aware of it.

LMAO, cracked me up. I stopped Exalting everything I thought Might be good this time around since the drop rate was so terrible for me, however in standard I was doing this all the time until I learned the game.

I am new to POE world and really games like this, I played the first two weeks or so of D4 then stopped, so a huge learning curve for me.

I will report back and let you all know what takes place once I get the rarity up.

You can get easily on a point in the "lategame" where you are totally stuck on progress. The crafting must be changed or the drop rates increase.

SSF is not about exalts in early game in act 1 to 3... It's about knowing how to shift through your loot drops and vendors' list. It's mainly blue gear with a few regals. Only when you reach act 5/6, you start to look at spending some exalts (I limited myself to at most 4 exalts so I'm extremely picky on what to use them on). Similarly, you ramp up on vendor gambling by spending gold as you progress, hardly none @ act 1 to 3, maybe some at 5/6.

Once you reach mapping, you'll look at quality and sockets more seriously. Focusing on base gear with higher and higher item level when possible (55~70+) for crafting. By T8+, I will spend all my exalts to ensure 6 mods on almost all my gear., on top of +20% quality, etc..

ive come to the conclusion in order to progress in this game by any meaningful amount its to play 10-12+ hours a day ever day. In the first week these nerds had 100+ hours played and had already broke multiple builds.
