Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

If you are crashing after the patch on PC.....
Try deleting your shader cache for the game. This has been an issue for me in Path of Exile 1 and 2 for big updates. This is safe to do as if these files are missing when the game is launched it just rebuilds them fresh for the current release of the game.

1. Press the Windows Key + R to open the "run" window
2. Type "%appdata%" without the quotes in the 'open' prompt
3. Press enter. This opens your \Appdata\Roaming\ folder
4. Browse to \Path of Exile 2\
5. Open the \ShaderCacheD3D12\ folder and delete the contents
6. Back up one level to the \Path of Exile 2\ folder
7. Open \ShaderCacheVulkan\ folder and delete the contents
8. Start up Path of Exile 2 as you normally would

Additionally, if you have a newer Intel processor please update your BIOS. This one has nothing to do with Path of Exile but rather there are known issues with the release drivers and BIOS of 13th and 14th gen Intel processors that are unstable and harmful to the chip itself. When I first got the game I was unable to play at all until I updated mine and it fixed almost all of my crashing, which happens very rarely now.

Out of every other solution I have tried (3rd party software as well as other things) after 2 hours of playing, haven't crashed once. Hoping this will be a lasting solution so I can finally dive in and enjoy the game.

Much appreciated!!

since i never crashed since released outside of Breach, only breach freeze me 3 times in 200 hrs. even high sea version of Spider-Man2 ppl keep crying about crashed still never crashed on me, but always open ur task manager and learn every exe and service running on ur pc, never let anything run unless u need it too otherwise its fall for bloatware by definition which most app usually do.

Is CPU related, installed the game after the patch on a new hardware (no cache) and crashes the whole system unless you disable core 0 and 1, then it just crashes PoE.

Besides that CPU temps are the highest of any game/benchmark i've tried.
beware, i tried this and started crashing 10x more. everyone's setup is different but this had the opposite effect for me.
