Item Tier
What does it mean when items drop and it shows a tier? I've seen some Tier 2 and 3's. This is before I identify them. Also, is 2 better than 3? or the other way around?

3 bettter than 2 etc.

POE1 has a perfect tier system where T1 is the best, but devs wanted to show off their vision so here in POE2, T1 is the worst. I don't think anyone knows what tier is best now because different items have different tiers.

They are talking about when an Item drops with a tier in its name before it's identified like, (Rare Wand)[Tier3]. Means that its modifiers will roll higher tiers(1-10).
Okay, thanks, but why do some items show the tier and most don't, when dropping? Most, like 95% don't, but every now ant then I get one that shows the tier. And it's only been tier 2 or 3.

All items normally drop as "tier 1" just doesnt show. When getting into higher level maps Tier 2 and higher will become more common.

you must be a pleasure to be around..

they explained the logic behind the change, and it isnt unreasonable, assuming they can also add a reference to the item for what the max tier is

every other system in the game counts up, so why would crafting tiers count down.
you start in tier 1 maps, and progress, etc, everything counts up.

you vision trolls need professional help.

The weakest mods wont roll when identified, and the effect is stronger the higher the tier.

When you get a ex: (Tier3) item mean the lowest stats you can get is T3.

You really need to read the comment you quoted because he wasnt trolling, he was explaining the difference between poe 1 and 2, not slamming poe 2. The perfect Tier system was literally the title of the system in poe 1. Pull that stick out of your rear, your barking up the wrong tree.

that is just wrong. the tier showing when unidentified is for the mods already on the item.
what u do after identifying is still random. please stop spreading false informations.

you should also reread it, and read between the lines.

I won't even bother re-explaining this to someone that doesn't even know the difference between "level" and "tier". You're truly cringe, not gonna lie.
