Maybe you should rewatch the vid. He's been struggling with his channel for 2 years trying to make it work as a full-time job. It's difficult to be a streamer dedicated to a single game if you don't have the follower numbers to back it up. He was betting on his channel to grow from PoE2, but thats the dice roll from playing something early access. He could of easily gotten a part-time or another job (that isn't the military that would demand all his time) and still produce content but he decided to step away entirely.
I get it though, he offered something to the community others couldn't replicate. Unfortunately, his audience is a small and is niche to his video style. Myself included.

TL;DR: MBX couldnt grow his channel and sustain himself and gave up. GGG didnt, and is obviously working to fix the things troubling their game.
