price increase?

not here to hate but wasnt the game going F2P 3Months after release?
instead they increased the price from 15 to 30.. what happened im curious
also is POE1 still in devlopment and get new updates new seasons etc

PoE2 is going to be f2p at release. Its currently in EA.

PoE1 has a pause cuz they underestimated developing PoE2 and everyones working on it.

No, it's going to become free2play on its full release, not 3 months after the EA release. Their original timeline for the full release was 6-12 months after the EA release, but currently that seems a bit unlikely. Also, on top of the EA key you do also get 300 points which would usually cost 30$.

Also, it always used to cost 30$. The only thing they did was changing the regional prices of other regions that also use the USD to be the same as in the USA. So you could say that they now are all the same again instead of different how it used to be, But all other regional prices that don't use the USD weren't affected.

And the current next league for PoE1 was announced to most likely be in June.

The price has always been $30usd, what changed was your regional pricing, which is unfortunate for people in your country I suppose.
Also as already mentioned by others, nowhere did they ever say 3 months after early access, they said it will be F2P after the games FULL release, which was stated to be 6-12months, but in a recent interview, they stated they are now only 65% confident they will release in 2025 still.

Yes POE1 is still worked on, they said they are aiming for end of June for their 3.2.6 league. It has taken this long because they kept having to focus on POE2 and underestimated the amount of effort required, so they stopped development on POE1 for quite a while, except the Phrecia event they did recently.

They did increase the price from 15 to 30, indeed, in some countries where they originally used Valve's suggested regional prices.

I don't remember ANY scenario of a developer / publisher doing this.

You can be damn sure I'm not giving this company a dime ever again.

I regret paying for this- My best advice, this is a great time to get either Last Epoch, or Grim Dawn (which is a masterpiece that not only gets huge updates 8+ years after its release, but it is also getting a new expansion this year).

Skip this, only get it when it's free, and don't give them your coin. It's not worth it.
