Bug? Avatar of Fire interaction with Essence Drain and Contagion.

The DOT on both these skills is applying but doing no damage. Not using any support gems on either skill.

This doesn't seem to be working as intended or am I missing something?

you can only deal fire dmg and only light/cold/phy converting to fire

It should convert chaos damage to fire. Imho problem is with dot. Dunno if its bug or intentional, cuz dots are rather specific category. Fire dot thats not ignite? Should it transfer to ignite? How could it be exploited by unintended interaction with skills that works with dots?

There is no reference to why it shouldn't work.. the hit from ED works, not sure if successfully converted from chaos DMG to fire though.. but it does atleast do damage

DoT dont deal damage cuz its not fire, it stays chaos - "Deal no no-fire damage". Avatar dont turn dots into ignite.

Not sure if that's intended. if it is it should say in tooltip given that ED and contagion are not standard ailments
