Whittling Crafting Help

Hello together,
I've been thrilled to craft my new scepter to make it even better using an omen of whittling.
Beforehand I looked up the mods on poe2db. For me it was clear that the modifier with the lowest level of requirement will get removed.

Activating the omen and hovering over the weapon I was very confused as another mod is getting highlighted.
Now I don't know why that is the case. Could someone please help me?

Unfortunately, i can not attach the picture in here. The two mods I am confused about are:

Allies in your presence get flat phys attack between 6-13 (this should be a level 35 mod. Gleaming)

Allies in your presence get 20% cast speed (this should be a level 56 mod. Of Sortilege)

Now, when I try to use the whittling, it shows me that the cast speed mod will get rerolled.
Like wtf? Why is that? It is a max roll cast speed and it's level requirements are way higher than the atk dmg...

I just don't understand the game anymore...

Same. It highlights a T8 accuracy mod instead of a T1 stun build up mod on my spear.
