i dont feel like this was a step into the right direction. loot is just too sparce now. MF does little to help, it feels pointless.
but the devs dont get money from RMT. RMT is from shady websites botting currency and selling it illegally.
The point of removing MF is so you can focus on making your character stronger (as it should be) and you get your MF from running harder content as a result of having a stronger character.
You should always aim to make your character stronger. Not how weak can I make my character and still reliably clear content.
Edit: The MF meta that plagued PoE1 was pretty bad.
Equip all the worst items in the game, socket cast on death + portal, and see how hard HH can carry you.
Then you take that mountain of divines you found... and make a real character? But you don't want to play that real character because he doesn't find anything?
