CPU heating up and high percentage after latest patch
After today's patch I have a problem where while shaders are loading they are making the cpu run at 90 ° every time I move a screen . This case was solved now it is back again after today's patch.

The same thing happened to me with my PC. I hope they fix it, because I'm not going to risk my PC. And I'm not going to change the settings and adapt them for each new game. It should be the games that adapt, since they cost a good amount of money
It might not be risky, but it beeped at the beginning of the game, and I also use the computer for work. And that didn't happen before with POE2.
And cooling is fine, I have it under control with MSI Center, but sometimes the heat spikes during gaming, then returns to normal. For now, I'd rather not take any risks.

thats what happens in games temps go up and down , loading screens and lots of mobs means more computing power hence the spikes

if your cpu is thermal capping then it is 100% a cooling issue just cause its not doing it constantly and is in "controll" doesnt mean its not happening

you should stress test
depending on the age of you system you might need new thermal paste or just to clean out heat sinks and that
Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF 3.20 GHz

128 GB RAM

And right now my PC TEMP is 35 degrees
This happens with other games also (at the beginning while compiling shaders), I had to limit my cpu max usage.

idle temps mean nothing with modern cpus since their turbos are at minimum
if its in other games too the you need to look at your cooling

cleaning / repasting

what cooler are you using for that cpu ?
also whats your motherboard and bios revision ?

Even still 14900kf even with beefy cooling systems has temperature jumps its a high end chip with very high boosts
your overall best bet is actually to undervolt the cpu in bios which will bring the temps down and probably keep the same turbo speed as you have

I have RGB liquid cooling, and three fans.
While I'm playing any game the temperature is 60 - 80 at most.

It's especially at the beginning of the game that it happens, that it overheats. It's especially early in the game when it overheats. It happened with other games, while compiling Shaders,

I used to render images with VRAY on my CPU for days in a row with 100% CPU load, but 14900 is known to be a failing CPU, so consider buying non-degrading CPU. Just kidding. Intel released microcode updates with new power limits two years ago, so you should be good to go as long as you using recommended BIOS settings, and load spikes should not affect your hardware in any way. But seriously, consider buying liquid cooler for CPU, it’s more silent and have more room in terms of thermal capacity to ease out these spike loads, bursts of heat
The game runs perfectly, but it has these temperature spikes. Maybe nothing's wrong if it only happens at the beginning, or during seconds, and then returns to normal.
The computer is less than a year old, maybe I need to replace the cooling. But I'm too lazy... haha. Thanks for the advice.

That’s should be fine. CPUs are made to last. If I recall correctly modern CPUs have a thermal limits of 110°C before they start to degrade, but thermal watchdogs shut down whole motherboard before CPU would be able to reach that point, and bursts of loads and sustained high loads are fine. The whole thing with Intel CPUs were happening because Intel set extreme profiles for juicing their CPUs past the safety, but that was resolved. Be sure to update your motherboard BIOS and you should be golden
Max operation temp for your CPU is 100°C usualy 110 is when it will throttle and shut off if maintained
BUT your cpu will throttle iteself to keep its temps down
any boost you get is technically a overclock and overclocks means temps
80°C is perfectly fine especially on your cpu which when going hard is a VERYVERY hot cpu

I just updated it to the latest version. Thanks for the advice.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/236787/intel-core-i9-processor-14900kf-36m-cache-up-to-6-00-ghz/downloads.html

The temperature still hovers around 90-100°C at the beggining, but then drops to 60-80°C.
Maybe that's why some people are complaining about the game crashing. Because it reaches a high temperature and the app shuts down automatically to avoid any risk.
Only this game heat up my ryzen 5600 to like 78-80
Any other game on my PC barely hits 62-68 so cooling is ok i think

Your cooling solution is failing.

Game has nothing to do with it.

If that would be the case it would fail on every other game. However it is only this game and the cpu is not running on 100% yet the temp is reaching that high for some reason. Again this used to be fixed but now is back

Edit: Just to add there is no performance issue. Game is on stable fps, it's just the heat is abnormal.
