don't rely on only Rake with Act 2 last boss
Noted.
As much as I would love to play PoE 2, I won't give them money to beta test their game that's going to be free. It's just going to keep giving them a reason to keep that price tag attached and the game in EA.
In the end the will behind, why Jamanra has been made that way, has 2 explanation to me
Either they wanted to make it a "noob stomper" a sort of a gate keep and "git gud" boss, because I have seen people struggle but first tried it, they had played an enormous amount of POE1 for the record.
The other one is the common, "do Devs play their game???!" I don't know if it could hold a truth in it but knowing the game been here for 3/4 mounth and the new update didn't change a thing, I don't think it could be that but still, who knows, clearly not me.
Anyway these are my 2 cents about it and ♥♥♥♥ Jamanra
IT WORKS. Upgrade your WEAPON.
try buying a better spear at alvas, honestly the only way to go smoothly via campaign is to buy random items via alva and to luck out, the drop rate from bosses is abysmal and if rare item drops it is never for your own class, for some reason they "GAME DESIGNERS" want you in campaign to trade lvl 20-30 items with other classes. Dont ask me why.
Yeah tried it there and just dumped a few random upgrades on regular magic spear - change to rare, add some mods, add socket, add a rune...
Recorded the act 2 boss with the regular magic weapon. Took 9:30min to eventually die to the boss:

Recorded the boss a minute later with the upgraded weapon. Took 6:30min to beat the boss:

The issue now is that the Act 3 mobs pose no challenge and the game is back to mindless one-shot clicking, and it doesn't matter which skill is being used.
Up until the weapon upgrade, the game had a good balance with all mobs and bosses.
So the end-of-act boss seems to force you to go with the highest DPS you can get, by whatever means. And when you achieve it, still takes probably 10-15% too long to kill.
After which point you are too OP for the future enemies.
I think they really need to look hard at the DPS scaling mechanics, which seem 'just right' if you don't invest in weapon upgrades etc. And become easily overpowered if you do.
PS: There seems to be a bug where if you use the 'passive skill book' to get 2 skills and then level up shortly afterwards, it overwrites the skills to 1. Just got that there now after beating a very weak Silverfist with the OP upgraded spear.
PS2: Just had to defeat Silverfist again to get the book a second time. Bug may have been caused by the fact he was possessed by a wisp the 1st time.
well forumalted post on their forum have a chance to read
