Hex blast is broken, again.

Hex blast successfully broken. Now you have to wait half the curse time to detonate it. Because of this, hex blast also stopped working with blasphemy. What kind of GENIUS came up with this? The most inept attempt at balancing the new Lich class in advance.

You could use that skill to actually kill enemies, it had to be nerfed.

The funniest part is it was only doing half the dmg it was supposed to pre buff even. It was supposed to detonate all curses and do dmg for each, but instead it was capped at 1 curse. The dmg on it wasn't even very high compared to other builds, but considering they nerfed useless skills like Flameblast into oblivion; It's hard to be surprised about the hexblast nerf.

Use it, yes. Use it viably at endgame? Not at all. You could use it with contagion and essence drain builds, i guess. But even then, it's not adding anything to the build. Your main source of dmg will still be the DoTs. Enemies being alive long enough for a curse to reach 50% is already a massive issue anywhere except vs bosses. Not to mention, Hexblast doesn't even do better dmg now despite the massive nerfs to it's utility. It's just a wasted slot.

Just uninstalled literally because of this. It was my fault for not reading the patch notes, leveled up to 44 as a witch and thought it was a bug. Womp womp, back in the closet POE2 goes.

so now the game through curses is not playable at all, wait for each pack of mobs for several seconds to rip them up?? yes it will be faster to kill everyone with a stick with your hand.
and if there is already a curse from the aura, and you hang a temporary curse... then it won't be possible to blow it up either, what kind of nonsense did the developers come up with

I have been leveling up a Chaos Witch for the sole purpose of trying out a Blasphemy Hexblast lich and now that I got Hexblast it turns out it's broken. WTF!

i have been away from the game for about 4 months. Had a blood mage with hexblast and archmage, went to do a keystone thinking "i wonder if i remember how to play" and then I cast hexblast with blasphemy turned on and nothing happens. Went to look up and see if they changed something and ended up here. 147 hours put on my character, just for playing this build, completely thrown to the trash. Guess its back to LE

What happened? I had to check if its necro cuz HB was fixed in 0.2, but this is fresh post, and i didnt noticed anything in g patch.

so, what did I miss about flameblast? it was alright right? why did they give it +15 seconds CD? what they gonna nerf next? "escape shot"? xD
