The peak was 500k players. If the game has 1 million players overall, they're still testing.
Wait a month and try again. If there’s a patch to fix those awful nerfs, the player count might stay healthy. But if not, the game will lose players over time.
I mean if people want mindless rush gameplay like PoE 1 and D4 just play those games.
PoE 2 is different.
0.2.0 is the new baseline and the game is far from beeing finished.
If you don't like it, don't play this update and wait or the next.
This is a new game, unlike PoE 1 with years and years of refinement.
PoE 2 is also the most complex ARPG balance wise by miles.
And people don't seem to be intelligent enough to understand what EARLY ACCESS means.
Mmm PoE1 is definitely more complex balance wise, the build variety is beyond PoE2 because the skill tree is way more diverse.
You're right about PoE2 being Early Access.
Part of Early Access is player feedback, I don't know why people who enjoy the game feel it more necessary to attack the players giving feedback than defend what they like about the game.
Give some examples of the changes you're enjoying instead. That's constructive.
keep this in mind aswell :
on release the game was at ~550.000 players
steadily declined since then but ye. obvious reason
the point is rn its at 250.000 and the numbers are already tankin again
that means that more than 50% of the playerbase didnt even bother to come back for this update
Good point. Not every player visits forums, so they aren’t aware of what’s happening. Some haven’t reached the endgame content yet, so they don’t have a full picture of the situation. But it’s only a matter of time before most realize how bad this update is.
The game new normal is 10k players, after some weeks, this update won't hold not even 50k players.
Here's a side by side rough comparison of the timeframes, pay attention to the graph and not the total number of players.
Patch 0.20

Patch 0.10

It's honestly best to wait about 2 weeks before making these comparisons, but those steep drop offs in 0.20 aren't there in 0.10.
Ideally there would be a shifting scale where you go from spending a few inputs on a pack to deleting a pack before moving onto the next tier of difficulty.
Having it be as linear as it is removes the feeling of progress. If you're constantly back tracking from packs despite gear upgrades it's a design flaw.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA is KING!!!! OFC xD
