This class is dreadful. "Meaningful combat." ya sit there and die over and over and over because your attempting an 8+ button combo that is interrupted 75% of the time. why? well thats simple here is the gameplay loop:

1) find monster(s) in the wild.
2) wait for monster to attack so you may engage in a parry(block)
3)use your disengage to generate a frenzy charge. hopefully two with profusion.
4) follow step 3 until you have sufficient/desired frenzy charges.
5)proc desired elemental throwing spear, in order to cause ground effects.
6)cast whirlling slash ( for mediocre damage results cast three times).
7) cast twister (knowing you do no damage, but that's okay because your having fun right?).
8) rinse and repeat steps 2 to 7 until monster(s) is dead. but seeing as monster has either:
A) stunned you wasting the ground effect and all casts of whirling slash.
B) you rolled out of whirling slash for fear of dieing to pursuing monster(s) losing all whirling slash stacks.
C) have died because you thought your potion could out heal the incoming damage of the monster(s)
D) heavy stunned for 3s because the monster broke your parry(block), killing you while the stun occurred.

I strongly recommend any of the other classes that are actually playable Ranger, Sorceress, monk and witch. as anything else will waste your time with it's "meaningful combat gameplay loop." Now maybe i'm wrong and you are an exceptional masochist and have actually cleared steps 1-8 and to my bewilderment you enjoy this curious choice of playstyle and gameplay. To these individuals i commend you!

Now don't get me wrong as there are ways to shrink this street fighter combo list down or engage in other combos within the huntress toolkit:
casting frostbolt for your ground effect then proceeding with steps 6-8 or doing the lightning spear slam combo which follows steps 1-5 or enagaing with the reverse hailstorm of spears rising from the ground that, shocker, also follows steps 1-5.

I fail to find the fun and enjoyment of playing the game when all routes lead to your health depleting and you dieing over and over. Even thru the other avenues of snipers mark or combat frenzy lining up these combos is ridiculous.

Not to mention the larger elephant in the room that this class is made or broken by the gear much like the warrior, mercenary and monk. If you find no drops on the ground worthwhile it compounds the problems listed above. You need an A+ spear and ideally 2 rings that grant raw damage to have any chance of doing some damage to targets.

Im going to keep trying for a little bit, i want to see poe2 succeed and give us something amazing... but honestly this class is dogs* and i don't see that changing. without pulling the class and putting it back on the drawing board. There's just too many moving parts to make this class function. Maybe i'm wrong and other people are having a better time worked out the formula to do solid damage. I hope so as that's the only reason I'm continuing with the Huntress.

I ignore parry and frenzy, and do enough dps with SSF gear that I haven't had any issues so far. I'm sure that might change, but with the nerfs to enemy hp, frenzy isn't even needed, at least for me.

I'm sure it changes later, but she seems to kill faster than ranger did at comparable levels.

i don't have issue in campain and i like the gameplay loop with dash-attack-parry-backflip-throw-repeat but i think like in end-game it will be useless.

Agreed, too much input needed for not enough damages sums up the huntress..

parry ranged is 1m and you need be in ranged enemy face to parry

Got a Thief's Torment in Act 2 SSF, feels like I'm invincible on bosses that don't have oneshot mechanics.

No issues so far with fire explo spear / bleed build. Feels much better then my Monk main in S1.

Just pick ranger build, grab critical strikes as first asccendency and enjoy bow with 40+ crit chance...

You dont have to use spear and i suspect crossbow amazon gonna be busted soooo hard.

You people clearly have not played other classes or already forgot if you think anything in huntress toolkit is even passable.

Warriors first skill we get on beach can clear whole maps and 2-3 tap bosses in literary seconds while huntress does 1/10000000 of that dmg after convoluted 10 skill combo
