Tame Beast not working?

Im using the spell on a yellow beast and it wont work. Nothing happens at all. i tried about 4 times to cast and kill the creature and still nothing. anyone know anything?

Haha same, I exactly tried 4 times as well before removing it. Either it's bugged or we don't know how to use it. Anyways, the fact you can only use it on rare enemies makes it pretty useless.

im for sure using it on the yellow rare enemies. they definitely have the beast tag on them. ive tried over 10 times now and nothing happens and nothing works. frustrating.

ive tried it on over 20 rares. ive gotten 5 levels trying to catch one thing lol

From what I found out you have to use it right before you kill them

yeah i did that. about 15 of the 20 times ive tried.

It has about 9 seconds of capture time on a rare, you see sparkly dust around it on use. Make sure you see the dust. Kill it and your gem will convert to a named gem with rare's name and be removed from your skill bar.

Open your skill list, G key, and toggle on the beast like one of your aura or summon. Make sure you have enough spirit, about 40 typically..

yeah i swear im doing this.
ive gotten about 20 to below 5 percent health. and i legit spam the tame button over 10 times before they die from some aoe. and none of them have worked.

i have a rare at like 5 percent health and i have casted 60 tame beasts on it. nothing.

What's the rare Beast you'r trying to catch ?
I got my Crab & Gorilla first try, but now that I'm trying on Bloodthief Queen it just doesn't seem to work.

im trying the bloodqueen thief too. 4 hours of trying wont work.

There seems to be a bug with this monster, allowing you to summon ennemi mosquito with it.
I wouldn't be surprised if GGG removed it from the possible tame in his latest hotfix.

I just tried catching that one because that monster was first on my list to capture but for some reason it couldn’t but I did capture other monsters from other areas in act 1 and 2. Maybe that beast is bugged or GGG saw that monster as too op. But if control spectre can do it, which I am not sure of yet, why not tame beast.

I tested the various rare beasts capable of summoning : Bettle, Tick & Larva.
Impossible to tame one of them, everything else no problem.
I guess we'll have to wait for a patch before we can tame them again.

The hotfix patch they did remove the possibility for you to capture it. I have one and its buggy and very op. its prob why it was removed.

why its op. when it first spawns the swarm it spawns is under your control. monsters never target it. Mine never died did alot of damage with the spray acid and the monsters it spawned.

why its buggy... after the first wave of flys it spawns the second time it spawns them and on will wind up attacking you.

Mine has lightning tail and the molten lava ring thingie...

kill it before wisps dissapears from beast. Right at time. But be sure it's beast. There's a bettle that is mechanical and is not a beast.
