Also random question, does blocking reduce damage taken? Like, if the attack goes through but you blocked, will it do less or the same.

This is a bit late but I just discovered this. You can disenchant the Bound gem at any NPC who can disenchant, I just did it at Zarka in Act II and got the original gem back.
