This has been happening to a lot of people and there seems to be no concrete explanation or workaround. Two of my friends have had it since they first played the game and it happened to me about a month ago. Super smooth gameplay with 120-165 fps then, BOOM, lag and stutter. Thought I'd fixed it after changing PhysX from Auto to GPU, but it came back again several days later.
All of us stopped playing and were waiting to see if this patched fixed anything. Obviously it hasn't, so we're not coming back at this time.
Sorry you guys are having persistent issues, hope you get a fix soon.
This fixed my issue but then i got a random ass error code and game crashed xD
I am leaning on a DLSS issue, since nVidia has botched later drivers and developers had to "work around" them.
Had same issues as you. Turning Reflex off fixed my FPS, but then was getting an error, so I went with the guess that the Item Serialization error is related to the DLSS pipeline.
I switched to NIS + No Upscale and game works as before the patch for me.
