Noob question - Mouse vs WASD movement
is there a consensus on which is better?

You can try both, switch it in settings.

mostly just personal preference. personally i play WASD but i know friends that play controller and others that play Mouse. honestly i would start with one and see how it feels to you and then change the settings if it don't feel right, then pick and see what feels better to you.

1)You can switch in option any time
2)No bro there is no CHOICE here WASD any time, lets you shoot in any direction while moving, no downsides

After playing with mouse for years, I tried out WASD and I feel it's superior in every way honestly. Never looking back

Mouse movement is for everything and WASD is for ranger / bow classes mostly.

WASD is better... so much better. Mouse one is horrible to use comparatively. If WASD wasn't an option, I wouldn't even be playing with how bad mouse control is.

With a mouse, of course, or do you want to keep both hands on the table all day? I prefer relaxed, smooth gaming... clearly only possible with a mouse.

I think it depends on the class a bit. I get the feeling some classes will be better. I would try them both, and see what feels better, class to class.

I tried sticking with mouse movement for a long time, but for this game having to move precisely, you can achieve better movement with WASD without having to look for your cursor and constantly clicking back and forth

This particular game is optimized and designed for WASD.
Work with both (and even with controller) but is made with WASD in mind.

So for this ARPG, wasd is it.
