I see streamers have the drops on, but I see no progress or anything about drops in drops/inventory

When looking at the currently active campaigns on Twitch I see nothing for PoE. And I also couldn't find any posts from GGG telling us that there currently should be any drops available for us. So I have no idea about which drops you're talking about.

they turned it on for a few minutes then shut it off. guess it'll be back tomorrow on patch day

It was a mistake that the drops came up early. They turned them off now and back tomorrow.

you have to log in on a twitch account and link it to the poe account, drops are off right now but if you do it when they are on the instructions are under the announcement on top of chat that the drops are on, also possible to get to the same page by checking your twitch inventory

if you dont properly link the account youre not gonna get the drop, no matter if you fill the progress bar and claim the item

you can also go to your twitch account configs and do it manually but thats harder

Go to poe website, login to your account. Click manage account and on bottom you should have twitch there. follow instructions to connect your account to the twitch account.

Found this was way easier than doing it from twitch.

Basically it works like this: You log into twitch, and then proceed to trade in your soul and humanity as you feel the very life drain from your blood, and the crushing despair of reality set in as you realize you are on Twitch.

In return you get some pretty useless game promotion stuff, or your sanity returns part way through, you log out, delete your newly created twitch account, and return to your better version of life (no matter how bad things are, they are still better than watching some streamer on Twitch.)

Azmeri Noble Deer Pet (3hrs combined watch time)
Start Time: 12PM April 4th PDT
End Time: 5am April 13th PDT

Boar Trophy-Kill Back Attachment and Honour Guard Rhoa Mount (3hrs combined watch time)
Start Time: 5AM April 13th PDT
End Time: 5AM April 19th PDT

Make Twitch account.
Link Twitch Account to PoE account.
Watch required number of stream hours. You can have a PoE 2 stream muted in a tab you're not actively watching.
Click Redeem button on twitch's drops page to send the drops to your PoE account.

You have to make a twitch account because the site needs an identity to tie your hours watched to.
