Play a merc then. PoE doesn't pigeonhole characters into specific skills. Nothing stops you playing a minion merc.

Lich has some big interactions with minions utilizing the Curses and 2 key passive called "Rupture the Soul" - Cursed Enemies Killed by you or Allies in your Presence have a 33% chance to Explode dealing a quarter of max Life as Chaos Damage

and

"Necromantic Conduit" - You and Allies in your Presence have Unholy Might, while ou are not on Low Mana. Lose 5% of Mana per Second.

"Unholy Might" 30% of all damage as Extra Chaos Damage. [Straight 30% damage buff to minions bruv]

Just those 2 alone are very big for minion builds. What you smokin?

Surprised you didn't notice.

I don't think any class will be completely a minion class. You're not supposed to 100% rely on minions in PoE2.

You don't have to make your build specificly for NEcro Conduit lmfao, you must not be good at theory crafting. It's Extra Chaos Damage. EXTRA is the keyword here.

But that's fine.

Not every Ascendency will be for everyone. But merely dismissing it saying it can't be used for Minions is just absolutely wrong.

How do you figure you need to make your entire build around it? it has zero special interactions and is just extra dmg? lol

an ascendancy like demon form is something you need to build around

Yes its not exclusively a minion class but they (GGG) said "if you want an army of minions witch is the class you want to play " . You should watch the witch showcase .

there will never be a pure minion ascendency, because they want you to be able to play minions on more than one ascendency.

having one pure minion ascendency would pidgeonhole anyone wanting to play minions into that one.
sure you could play minions on other classes, but why would you if there were one specifically better?

Army of minions doesn't mean best minion class... Just means quantity over quality.
Anyways, doesn't the witch showcase also show the witch casting spells along side her minions? Essence Drain and stuff?
Like I said, its not pure minion class. None of the classes will be 100% focused on just minions. I'm speaking about the class in general. Not if a player decides to 100% focus on minions.

It's already been stated. GGG doesn't want minions to deal more than 30% of the players DPS. There's so many uninformed people who wants minions to do 100% of the player's damage output.

1. 'Witch' isn't a class, its a *character*. The ascendencies are classes.

2. Witch has multiple build options - like all the characters - and minions is only one. You could, for example, build a witch using maces.

They want almost every witch ascendancy to be viable to run minions, it's part of the identity of the class just like crossbow and bows are for mercenary and ranger even though you can do something different there, same for the witch. They also want minions to be viable in different classes as well, you can go anywhere in the passive skill tree after all.

Infernalist is perfectly viable for a minion build with a tanky pet that absorbs damage and massive increased spirit through life reservation, just because the class name isn't "summoner" or whatever it doesn't mean it can't be a minion build, even in the art she's summoning raging spirits and those are literally minions.
