New League - How Does It Work?

Hey Everyone,

If a new league is started for patch 0.2. Can we still play our original char with the newer contents introduced in patch 0.2 ( like new class, new unique drops and contents )?

or do we need to start up a new Char to get the new act content and also the new unique items?

Afaik, yes you can play your old char, but you don't get to enjoy the new content. So to play the new content you have to make a new character

They've confirmed all the new content in 0.2.0 will be available for the current characters/league in the game, as well as a new season for a fresh economy by everyone starting fresh will also be available.

In theory, after 0.2.0 (subject to developers choice) it should be a completely separately league for every expansion/large content drop like Leagues in PoE 1.
