if u care about crafting : Essence and Delirium and others tabs.
first 3 tabs is not Mandetory BUT help A lot.
Get whichever if more $/tab efficiency out of a 6-pack of Premium OR a quad. I don't like how tiny things are in quad, but it's user preference and the search feature is nice. Premium either way because you can color/label them, and if you get into selling you can mark them public to auto-show in the main site's trade function.
- This will fill your need for more space than just the four starter tabs (and you WILL likely need). Tho take it from a hoarder: Don't hoard :) at least not stuff below ~lvl40. There's a LOT of juicy-seeming loot!
Then I say a Currency tab - can fit 1000 stack of each currency type instead of them being stacks of 20 in random tabs. And no time spent manually sorting it!
Probably Maps after that, if you get to endgame. Won't matter till you're really collecting a nice pile of them.
If you are a collector, Uniques tab after that. Has technically 1000+ spaces; one slot for each unique that exists!
Then there are lots of specialties for the various crafting mechanics. Unless you *love* a certain mechanic, or get really deep into endgame such that a lot are there, I wouldn't bother. I just set a Premium tab to have affinity (see below) for the various specialty categories.
Once you have the various tabs, make sure to go into their options and turn on "Tab Affinity". This will make them auto-move straight into the tab without manually navigating to it! (the shortcut is Ctrl-Right click, I think -- I play controller :'D )
I appreciate the reply, and yes it is Ctrl click. I always plan not to horde which never works. The difficult part is not knowing the game and which affixes are best and which are trash so I end up keeping items I don't need.
upgrade one tab to premium (if you plan on selling items)
maps and frag
other tabs based on preferences after play-testing the content to see if you enjoy it
I don't recommend quad tabs if you have trouble with controlling item tetris with tiny squares. Check the poe1 videos for tab videos or use google/youtube for poe2 videos. They will be mostly the same between both games as far as base purpose goes. Only buy during sales.
