Lag/cpu spikes that kill framerate
I have this problem almost from the start so i guess i'm just looking for an update.
Every minute or so the game drops to >10 fps for about 3-5 seconds and then it goes up to to a good 60-80 fps again. and it seems to happen at random no matter the clutter on the screen

Well if random, ok its pc issue but even if fixed, teres a perma lag droping to 5 fps in grps in combat its GG(aka broken dead game, 0 fix for that, poe1 is proof). So we need a new game AGAIN is all, rly tough this was it for me tho, been waiting a long time, EX huge fan here, plus, i stuck on D4 long enough boring myself like a girl who dosnt want to play with barbies, but GJjoes. But yea, They are running on 15 year old hardware servers for sure, and shared with poe1, clowns. I mean, We financed the 2 with money no one had left from D4 stealing it, and many more tittles before it. Still nothing. Also support is totaly not relevant or not replying. Wierdos. Iam trying to quit but its a great hard good niche arpg game that i needed badly, tumbs up for that. But anyone can make a superb game, tease players like me to tears because it cant run on any devices, iam almost sure bout that. Anyways, who the heck makes unplayables games rly, well, ggg does i guess. COntent aint lacking thats for sure! Best of luck to them and tere gorgeous gem of a game, they will need it more then my money.
they should sell to someone who can take care of it, and sell ur poe1 to while u at it, geezus its too awfull

Open your graph and your chat. See if it spikes anytime another person posts in chat.

If it does, move to a dead chat channel for global and trade. Muting/blocking chat does not work cause it is just a visual thing. posts still happen.

TO move to another channel, just right click the chat tab and you will see the command pop up in your chat entry. Just change the channel to something high and dead. I use 600. 666 and 420 are busy channels so that it not a "default" option lol

I hope this helps. It helped me and my potato build.

Moving to a less popular channel helped stabilize the game for me, too.

Glad it helped you.

A few think it sounds crazy, but it helps.

I'm familiar with you and know you wouldn't spread disinformation. That's why I pointed out it's helped me, too.

Take care, EvilHare o/

That sucks.

Another wild guess, try an IP renew?

open the Command Prompt, type "ipconfig /release" to release your current IP address, then type "ipconfig /renew" to get a new one from your network

IMO performance issues are the #1 thing the dev team needs to work on. So many people can barely play the game because it runs at 10 fps, even though they have a great machine.

I have a 1080TI, i7-4930k cpu (6 core @ 3.4ghz), 1 TB SSD, 16 GB ram, and can barely run this game because it runs at 10 fps for me. Yes, my PC is dated, but I can literally run every other game at 2k res, at least 60 fps. This game won't even run at 1920x1080 res for me.

Some people have PC's that are literally top of the line and they experience the same issue of it running at 10-20 fps, consistently.

Yeah, most people aren't experiencing it, but every time I come on these forums, someone is asking for help related to the game running very poorly.

Idk about you, but I'm not willing to download 2 different programs and alter my BIOS settings just so I can play the game not at 10 fps... which is what a lot of these temp solutions recommend.

To be honest I don't know how the devs could release a game that runs so poorly on so many machines. Elden Ring runs like butter at 2K res, max setting. POE2 makes my CPU go to 100% in the starting screen alone, and on lowest possible settings.

My advice is to just wait till the full game releases and hopefully they will have greatly improved performance.

If not, there are tons of videos on what programs to download and what settings to alter, etc.
