Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

The trial of Sekhemas is a CANCER.
The trial of Sekhemas is a cancer. Ascent to powers is very important for the characters. The first time I enjoyed the trial of sekhemas missions, but when I did it for 8 or 9 skills, it became very, very boring and challenging. This cheap trick of the company to extend the duration of the game will lead to losing more players, just like losing xp in endgame content. HELLO YOUR GAME IS DYING PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT WE SAY.

Comparing something fictional to a life threatening condition is absurd. Playing the game does not create a medical condition.

As for the game dying? I understand you are new to gaming, but the "dying" is part of the ebb and flow of an EA release. Look at other popular titles that went into EA.

Another tip ... read the information given to you in game. If you open your passive skill tree and hover over Ascendancy points, it will explain that you do not have to alternate between Trial or Chaos to get your Ascendancy points. YOu just have to wait for the proper key to do ascendancies in just Chaos.

Knowing is half the battle
Skill issue, learn to play. Nothing you say will do anything bad for the game, as its all standard in ARPGs. Go play something else if you cant cope with little difficulty and learning.
It's a bit of a dull grind I'll give you that.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHA

a true, correct thread to say: git gud
The trials are a bit sickening lol atleast give me more than one attempt... I have yet to get the final ascendancy points on any of my 3 high tunes because My builds don't need the final points and after 30hrs of attempting it i cannot be bothered to try again... Idc even about the loose of my exp lol it is the one and done that hits me in the feels. Git gud only implies if it is a measurable skill difference that can be applied, when sadly it is rng bs of luck to what happens in the trials lol skill has very little to do with it.... You can prepare all you want and the trial can just fk you with the negative effects lol. Trial of sekhemas got a boon that made me invincible... Like wtf lmfao Beat the boss pretty easy with that on my side.... Rng and a bit of skill is what they are....
Don't get cancer then problem solved.
Its bad, yes. The devs know its bad - which is why they include so many relics you can slot to protect honor. Once you've done this . . . its a piece of cake though.

And its hilarious that this is what melee classes have to do. Boss design in this game is *FUUUUUUUULLLLLL* of bosses with massive AOE's that are difficult to dodge even if you're kiting, let alone for characters that must get right up against the boss to hit.

So they design a trial where the whole trick is to not get hit? And then add in a way to negate the Honor system so it becomes irrelevant anyway? This is peak Bethesda game design being copied here.

You can skip Sekhsmas and gain all your ascendancies in Chaos. When in the passive skills window, hover over Ascendancy points in the upper right. It will give you the details on what can be done.

Stakes?! Consequences?! Say it aint so!
Sekhema and Chaos temple are both trials. That's the point.

Being a shield warbringer who face-tanks damage, Sekhemas is all but impossible for me. Heck, I can't even kill the molten-gold golem because I can't kill it fast enough before the magma reaches the end.

At least I have the option to run chaos trials, but only if i get lucky with the curses. I'm boned if I am forced to pick a curse that strips armor or spawns damaging effects in an area. Both will absolutely neuter my ability to face-tank

It's a weird situation for tanky builds for sure. But imagine if getting hit didn't matter in Sekhemas... you could just stack 10k energy shield and it would be inconsequential. I like the idea of honor and having to avoid damage, but I get where you're coming from.

I hope they work it out, seems like a tricky problem for the devs.

My build is in the same scenario as you.
It's tedious. But a lot of the die hard PoE fans actually revel in the tedium.

I like the trials. The first early stages are a bit samey now but they don't take that long. There's entire genres of gaming based on actual tedium. The possibility of failing makes things interesting, look at the ppl who play hardcore.
