Why is minion damage so awful?
Plugged my pure minion DPS build into PoB2 and it says 359k dps. People are running around with millions of dps, but a full minion master build is on par with Diablo 4 minion master dps. I thought GGG did better than Blizzard?

People that are running with millions of dps have builds that cost hundreds of Div's. Most people have around 50k to 500k DPS like you.
Did he just compare 2 completely different games by the dps characters can achieve?

Those ppl running with millions dps are gonna be nerfed in 3 weeks.

Minions are fine and in good balance state.
Other classes should be balanced to be on same lvl as minions +-
Are you trying to say that because your minion build doesn't do as much dps as the top dps builds, GGG doesn't make games better than blizzard? That's your measure? A 0.1 early access version of a game, compared to a game in its 7th season with an expansion doesn't factor in at all for you? Only half the potential skills and items doesn't matter? Blizzard just does it better because YOUR minion build you plugged into a site has way less sheet dps than the highest dps builds known to players in the 0.1 Early Access version of this game?

You know d4's new season has started. But you've spent 5 hours a day on average playing this game since release instead of playing the blizzard game that is actually a finished product. I think that answers your question. Seems like GGG does it better in your opinion.

With the introduction of specters coming up this week I feel like We're finally gonna have some truly OP minion combos. I personally am going to be aiming for the Aztec bruisers since they have a mini cyclone attack and moderate health pool which i hope scales with player level.

Also worth noting is that minion builds have an extra layer of protection that other builds don't have. Those minions draw enemy fire, and they offer ways to deal damage to enemies from a fair distance away and without paying direct personal attention to the process. By extension, minion builds probably *shouldn't* be doing quite as much damage as equivalent non-minion builds.

It's not that there aren't downsides to running minions as well. You need to do minion-herding, especially in tight quarters with lots of turns. Still, on the whole, running a minion build lets you short your defenses a lot more than other folks can afford.
