Energy shield on Mercenary
So... my next question is - why is my Witchhunter now without any energy shield? He had one before and I have items equipped which should add to it. I'm sure there's some valid reason that I'm missing but it's a very complex system and not all too transparent at all times.

Check gear and skill tree.

Is anything removing your ES? Are you sure your gear has ES and not just % gained on an amulet?

I'll check again. I might've presumed those cirlcets/etc in the II-spot provided a start shield.

Woven Focus - should provide an energy shield.

Found the item that removes the shield: Visage of Ayah Beaded Circlet - orange item, probably quest unique. I've got the stats to wear it, but are there requirements on how strong shields you can have?

That helmet have eldritch battery and effect of elderitch battery is turns your base energy shield into mana.
Okay. I didn't know what the Eldritch Battery did. I figured it was a mage skill of some sort. That's it then. Many thanks!
