Well, if 100ex is a lot, maybe you are not yet at the point where you push to levels in the mid-high 90's.
I mean, once you have the gear to beat the pinacle bosses and fully juiced L81-82 maps, you have already spend a few dozen divines or more and now you make a few divines per hour. At that point 100ex is not so much if you die once every few hours.
See becoming level 95+ as an end game thing just as much as mirrors of kalandra. You don't just get there quickly after the campain, you have to build up your character strength and income generation.
Mouse over your avatar here sais you're 85 BTW. At 85 leveling up is still just a matter of doing a few maps. You can do a few maps without dying right ?
The worst one is when the mobs died and for some reason, bugged out and still chases out, invunerable or toucheable and literally forces you to move around because he still hits you. Oh the worst part, that mobs ignores all your defences (ES/Eva) and restistances.. wtf GGG?
again i built max only 60% res in all and 3k hp and 82% evasion with dodge rolling is not the problem with my build or skill i played harder games 10times fold its about playing multimaps 5 6 7 and houres to level my self to loss it due to random death event IS not the way its called GATEKEEPING
Gatekeeping is when a group of players sets an arbitrary barrier that prevents others from progressing or enjoying the game. In this case, the 10% XP loss on death is a form of gatekeeping because it punishes casual players disproportionately

Its not that hard to max resists.
And you don't randomly die. I don't so why would you ?
And theres people playing hardcore and getting to the high 90's levels.
So why don't die randomly die ?
You die to something. in your case probably stuff doing elemental damage. Or maybe your chaos res is even lower and you die to that ?
And nothing is gatekeeping. It is a game.
Games are made to be sort of challenges for players to beat.
Some games you can finish and beat all challenges in 2 hours.
Some games you can beat all challenges in 100 hours.
Some games keep players busy with boring grinds even though there isn't really a purpose to it anymore.
PoE, you can beat all challenges in several 100s of hours. And thats one of the things that makes PoE great. Not yet as great as PoE1 where there was so much content that you didn't need to get bored for 1000 hours in a league, but i'm sure that will come.

People complaining about 110 exalt for an omen to protect xp loss, aren't high level enough to understand their value.
max level and level overall is progress hours u put in game reward for completing high challenges die should only lower item quality or break it until u repair it again
like all games do xp loss only work if u can get it back like dark souls games whom ggg copy from
if u want high challenges go into hardcore not normal again NOOOORMAL progress game
they can make rare items more rare which give more since of accomplishment not effecting other casuals
