Jamanra vs Mercenary Witchhunter

I'll start by saying I'm new to PoE. I'm not powerbuilding this character so it's likely quite weak. Around level 35, having put most effort into grenades, but seeing how this boss is weak to Cold, I've equipped two ice skills.

Looking for advice on how to damage him better than I'm currently doing. Seems a bit too bad in that area atm. Do poison and oil grenades do anything to him?

He's resistant to fire, physical and lightning.

So poison would work but really poison is only there for setting up for the frag bomb combo, you could try Oil + Poison + Frag and see how that damage goes. Since if I remember right Oil afflicts things with Fire exposure so the combo will go through some of his resistance.

Also make sure you have plenty of lightning resistance for him, since alot of his attacks are lightning.

Tbh I also tried to level a gemling mercenary and was quite fun but way too weak, somehow I managed to beat Jamanra with oil+gas grenades and explosive shot. That combo was enough to do the deal. But unfortunately I had to abandon it because in arc 3 I couldn't beat the Azak bog witch for the spirit gem because I was way too weak and couldn't deal enough damage. I went back to my bloodmage.

Have a look at my build ,it's not the same boss but this can give you some rough idea to build a basic one.

Dude what a clickbait... you show nothing, no gear, no skills no gems, even comments are closed, lul...

plasma blast wrecks but grenade spam is good too . make sure you get xbow wit elemental and physical boost trait and pick grenade pasives such as cluster

Cold skills is kinda meh.
If you are struggle with that boss, you're probably doesn't have enough DPS.
I was trying him like 15-20 times with lightning build, but then I just crafted a better crossbow and it was done.

Also, you can use a ballista to draw some of his attention from you.

Thank you all. I've been checking a few youtube videos and it's likely I've got to upgrade my gear. Didn't know about picking up and grinding down all the white quality or socketed items. Lots to learn...
