As long as you can't level down it's not a problem.
I can agree that there are balance problems but that should get better and it's another issue anyway.
frankly you are doing something wrong is you are dying in maps. i juiced my map to the max with 3 delirium and pretty much never dies.
I hate experience loss on death as it is massive demotivating factor for me as I need to feel at least some progression is made during boring grinding sessions. I'm also well aware of the fact experience loss on death is to stay in PoE and it is unlikely to change. I have discussed this topic ad nauseam on PoE forums and GGG made it clear the penalty is to stay. Latest podcast with Jonathan raised possibility GGG will review penalty system in PoE2 but it is unlikely they will touch the experience loss and rather change the one-portal-per map penalty.
stop crying and just play for fun, gather currency , gear, experiment with builds, do trials idk.
on reset everyone goes back to start.
Whether you see this as motivating or demotivating is an issue of perspective I guess.
