CPU temp while playing POE2
So I've been playing POE2 since launch and a my CPU temp gets as high as 90c. That's a major concern for me. For reference, I just thought I'd fire up D4 to see how season 7 is doing. It's a constant 33c. That's more like how a game should run.

Is there any concern for this issue? Is PoE2 melting my damn CPU?

without knowing your CPU type and cooling method, it's impossible to answer that question.

Your CPU's temperature being 33 during active gameplay would be worrying.

I'm not sure how accurate it is... It's some kind of overlay that shows the load on my CPU and GPU. Microcenter put in a new i9 14900k I believe because my last one was fried from the infamous Intel issue with the 13900k chipsets. Now I don't have any crashes, but the temps seem wildly all over the place. A lot of times it's just temperature spikes for a second or two. I don't know. Maybe I have nothing to worry about. And truth be told I've never seen this overlay before and don't know where it's coming from. I'm guessing it's an Nvidia tool. And it's liquid cooled. I'm not sure what the manufacturer is as this is a Powerspec pre-built. I just didn't feel like building another machine.

Without mentioning specific setting hard to help. My guess is you are not limiting your fps and letting it run at the maximum frames it can generate. That turns your PC into a radiator and makes your CPU and GPU both run at max capacity the entire time the game is running

Yes, I agree to this suggestion.
I would highly recomend to limit max fps. Preferably via vsync with your monitor or with some in game options.
On the other hand, you should consider to do some CPU benchmark runs and monitor your temperatures. BC with liquid cooling, I think you should not normally run into hight temp in around 90c or more, while this is tecnically still not really a concern. I would guess there might has been made some errors while CPU AIO installation. E.G. thermalpaste or not removing plasticfoil from cooler maybe? ;-)
