Path of Exile 2

POE 2 is Good... But Needs Some Work
Overall, I really enjoy the game so far. However, it's far from perfect. Here are some things that OBJECTIVELY need to be addressed:

1. LOOT IS JUST DISAPPEARING! It's there for like 20 seconds and it's gone!
2. Rathbreaker boss battle has to be bugged. It's mechanics are off the rails: infinite mobs, enemies you can't touch, and the mob after the main fight? Wow.
3. The drop rates for good items is way too low.
4. Armor is useless (as many people know now). Enemies and bosses hit way to hard for your character to be so vulnerable. I feel like a glass cannon everywhere I go.
5. If there's a lock on, I haven't found out how to use it. Your character will aim for a wall of bones made by a boss...rather than the boss itself. This is especially annoying if there is a boss that can drain your health and manna in 15 seconds flat. There'll be enemies right in front of you, and your character will aim at something on the other side of the screen.
6. Less objectively, I'd say that only being allowed to choose one Ascendancy with no way back is not a good idea. A 15 point deduction (or something) would be a better idea if you decide you want to change later.

The game is pretty good, but they still have some fixing to do.

OFC. It's very very Early of Early Access. They're still figuring it all out. Yes, definitely a ton that needs to get better or change and they will. We gotta offer constructive criticism while being mature and patient.

This game still has a lot of baking to do. I'm very excited and I believe in a year or two PoE 2 will become the best ARPG, and someday replace PoE 1 as the best ever, but again, it's gonna take time.

I agree with 5 & 6, the rest.. not so much i mean all depends on build and.. 1? i have never had loot vanish from my screen.. it stays there static unless i pick it up.. maybe your pressing "Z" and toggling it off? i don't get that at all tbh.

As for point 5.. its much worse for controller users apparently.. i mean i use a mouse for everything but im fine with using a gemling legionnaire and just smashing the crap out of everything for the most part as i dominate everything.. but when it comes to classes like ranger or merc actually using a crossbow.. every now and then the sticky target will stick.. and its kinda irritating, i mean it is there you are locked on whatever you hover ur cursor over but it can also sometimes just kick in with a target.. so maybe that is part of the targeting system.. i mean clearly it needs refining overall.

Part 6 is the obvious to all, i believe a respec of the ascend would be more than fine..

Also there's other things in trials to consider too.. i mean if you warp out its really your own fault.. but some people do crash out and progress is not saved.. i believe an autosave feature would totally help them in regards to their data being saved server side.. this would resolve the issue when people crash, but its early days as we are EA, so it will only get better overtime just as everything does, but that's just off the top of my hat so to speak.. a basic feature but very helpful when it comes to Trials.. Sek specifically, chaos too.. but chaos is more hands on battle.. Sek is more of a problem in regards to its length so an autosave feature would make logical sense.
Hi there! I'm enjoying the game as well, and so far I feel challenged rather than frustrated, but I share almost the same concerns as the OP. I will share my own, since I've just completed the campaign:

There are too many instant-kill mechanics, mostly from mobs with corpse explosion or pursuit-hit instant animations from melee enemies. Investing in armor, energy shield, evasion, or resistances doesn't seem to help much.

The game should consider the fact that a lot of players are coming from the Diablo franchise (D3 and D4) and have no idea about the crafting system or currencies and their importance. Therefore, the loot reward system should be properly adapted to this fact and ensure a learning curve for those who are used to getting so much equipment from other games. A middle-ground solution would be nice.

Some stats aren't visible or clearly calculated for the player. A notorious example is "Loot better quality chance," where I invested in some gear (raising it to ~36%) and nothing really changed much. Killing a pack of champion monsters or an Elite mob with its minions isn't very enjoyable at all.

Some attacks and negative effects on the ground are not visible, and suddenly you die because you couldn't differentiate a poison pool from the green grass in the combat area. This lack of visual clarity can be frustrating and feels unfair.

I know the PoE1 community might be used to these mechanics, but this is a new game that's highly anticipated in the genre. Some polish would be nice.
