Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

am i too squishy in endgame?
75% resist for lightning, fire and cold. 35% for chaos. 80% evasion. 2000+ energy shield. am i still supposed to be able to die within seconds? everything seems fine and im going through tier 10 waystones just fine then suddenly i just fall dead. my health just drops.

Evasion isn't damage negation - its damage avoidance. You will still eventually be hit, and when that happens it will hit like a truck. Also, the % for evasion (and armor for that matter) are estimations for enemies near your character level, but the actual chance depends on the enemies' accuracy rating (which varies). Evasion also has a sort of pity system, in which you are less likely to dodge after each successful dodge. Like all builds, you need enough ehp to take a hit, or to kill everything before it can hit you.
Yes you are supposed to max your chaos resist at least. Its not hard. Just buy 2 items with chaos resist on them if youre not SSF (i guess for SSF its kinda hard)

That ES also sounds awefully little.

physical resist 0?
Yes. 2k is way too squishy. T10 and above need bare minimum 4k to be comfortable. With 2k you are pretty much guaranteed dead with 1 or 2 consecutive hit.
don't stand in ground aoe spells, like blood pools and burning grounds . 2k ES is way way too low.
maybe mentioning class would help clear stuff out.

Die in second is ok, just increase ur damage 2 times, buy core items on poe2 trade for exalted
he who does not play does not die
If you use energy shield you need to max out chaos res or else that energy shield counts as half, tip for maxing out chaos res, use soul cores that give chaos res.

Also with evasion it works like this, your % evasion gives you a protective layer that is based on the accuracy of the enemy, lets say the protective layer is 100 and you got 4 enemies that got 40 accuracy, each enemy chips away 40 of that 100, but the second last enemy where you only got a layer of 20 left will simply remove that 20 even if its 40, but the 4th enemy will hit you, this layer is reset after a hit goes through or every 4 sec (a deepdive to evasion).

Best to either get some armor or the keystone that turns your mana pool into a life pool.

Or a classic, it can't kill you if its death, which is what i did up to tier 15 maps, then i collected currency and respect my whole tree and bought some pricy gear.

"some armor" doesn't really work right ? I mean sure it works against the tiny hits, but those aren't his problem. I think armor is more of a "get 20k or ignore it" thing. (i have 20k and that works fine)

BS. I have 2000k shield and max resists including chaos and doing t16+ with no issues.

I have 3300 life, 78elemental, 75 chaos resist, max block, 18 armor. I do sometimes see my life go well below 1300.

So i do think 2k is very little. But i guess maybe it depends on how much you get yourself surrounded. I leapslam right into the middle of them with purposely minimized stun buildup. (for boneshatter ofc)

It depends on the class. He plays es+evasion so probably ranger or monk. For warrior you do need a lot more. Also I do have acrobatics+tailwind and helps a lot evading most hits but still, when hit, I can survive most boss slams without being one shot.

Sometimes its a dead by thousand cuts, aka lots of small enemies hitting at the same time can kill you in a few sec, with just a bit of armor you can block 40% of that damage, of course you need to be still careful vs rares and unique's.
Like i got 1k armor and so i block 20% of the damage of normal enemies (also got life, es and mana that protect me from damage)

I run all resists on 50% and chaos resist -20%.
just use energy shield.. i never die. not to tier16+ maps or pinacle bosses t4.

just dont stand in oneshot mechanics
