juice your maps to effective tier 18 if you want meaningful exp past level 90.
Edit: I originally said you need to be similar level and near each other for the biggest gains. I was misremembering. That's what you do if you want max loot. If you want max xp you have people who are preferably way lower or way higher level than the enemies and have them all sit at the start of the zone while you clear. as long as they aren't nearby you'll get the vast majority of their share of xp. You can get up to 500% more exp per enemy using this method.
2% per map post level 90 is really good.
remember exp in this game is an exponential curve, as opposed to other where it is mostly linear.
there is a reason poe1 gives you an achievement for your first character reaching level 70 "called foot of the mountain" because that is where the exponential curve starts. . .
So, yes, leveling past 95 as a solo player is absolute slog. I'm 75% to 97 and it takes forever, that is without dying. If you die at all, you can honestly park yourself at 95 and start bossing or doing other hard challenges. I wanted to hit level 97 before I moved to KCD2 on evening of 4th of February but I'm not sure it will happen.
keep climbing that mountain. . .
or quit before you reach the summit. . .and live with the failure.
the mountain does not care either way. . .
1. Play with a friend in party
2. Take a t16 waystone with exp boost and amount of monsters increased.
3. Put a tablets with exp and +1 monster level and increased amount of monsters in towers.
4. Use a waystones nicely enchanted with delirium on the location with breach.
5. Buy an inventory item that prevent 75% xp loss on death
