Path of Exile 2

So, ranger class, why is it so fun and worth it to you?
I'm gonna level a ranger class, but what is the popularity behind it? Do you get animals with it too? I've never really played this type of game before and I just wanted to see the hype of it. I got the starter pack as well so that's a bonus I guess? IDK what that does though lol.

iv played mercenary, sorceress and ranger.

ranger is the most op imo, has the best end game clear speeds and dps against bosses.

What would you recommend for leveling as a ranger starter?
Tip, do not waste your points from pack on cosmetics etc, save for stash tab sale.

I enjoyed most class's tbh with the exception of warrior who I stopped instantly lol

Ranger is very cool but squishy, need to play a lot between having good damage, surviving and mana efficiency and all elemental resistances, its like always something missing once you fill all the rest :DDD

You clearing maps with joy, running quick, one tapping mobs, zoom zoom boom boom, so fun...And then just "poppp"- something killed you. After that your smile slowly fades away to - "WTF was that :O" ?

I was leveling with Gas Arrow build, found from some girl posted in youtube, Allie her name if im not mistaken, then at endgame did respec to lightning arrow.
Leveling with Radiant Grief Lace Hood unique on that build was so nice and comfy and quick, just spamming gas around and it all explodes automatically without need to place fire or something else to trigger.

its not
deadeye go fast.
In a game where you go oneshotting enemies and then lose your hp in under 0.75 seconds to a poorly conveyed mechanic, a class that kills the next screen without ever being near what it kills, is a Godsend.

I decided to play Ranger because I figured I'd spend to much time fighting enemies as a warrior and I don't like playing wizards.
I played a Gemling up to lvl 92 than a Witchhunter to 93 and had to more or less work for my xp while using the crossbow.
After that i started a ranger and in my leveling gear i had a Radiant Grief which ignites the enemies around me, so i thought i make use of it and test it with the gasarrows... and there i was more or less oneshotting everything through the campaing and cruel without the need of everything else beside one skill.

my deadeye sits now at level 94 still with just gasarrows and around 300.000 dps and all this without uber items. The only thing what had a cost of 2 divs was my bow.
I would say the game needs some balancing...

I'm not good at the game yet coz skill tree is so cluttery lol. like I have no idea what to put in the talents for a specifc class.
ranger gets immediate movement speed on passive tree - which you should absolutely take - and deadeye and pathfinder both have solid ascendancy skills, unlike some other classes I won't mention.

By the time I was mapping I started using Acrobatics, and as a pure evasion build, that's really the only defensive option. you have to pay extra attention to your movement and positioning on the screen, and never let mobs get close to you.

i went with a poison build and Corpsewade boots. it's pretty fun most of the time.

I guess you could make a melee ranger, but I wouldn't recommend it.
The ranger is also very squishy if you don't know how to play it right. Which is what I do not know how to do lol.
