Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Is poe 2 gambling?
I really like the gameplay, the campaign and the classes but I don't like the gear drop, the crafting and the drop rate for crafting materials. The crafting is just so much gambling it's so frustrating and the gear that drops is mostly not suitable for my build. I know that the devs want the players to trade but a little bit more precise crafting would be nice. Am i alone with this? In every other game there would be a lot more criticism for so much gambling I think.

So, poe1 has a lot of crafting systems. Poe2 is a very stripped down system of it. The current belief is that much more targeted crafting will be released over time.

Ultimately, current ecosystem, it’s best to find things, flip them and trade for what you need. High end omen crafting to create BIS/mirror items is pretty much out of reach for most people.

I personally try and feed like, 5-10 chaos orbs into an item if it has 1-2 stats I want, and if it bricks, chuck it. Downside to this is the current market value of chaos orbs, being the main trade commodity over exalts.

That being said, using this method has made me craft a few items in the 1-3 div range, but my current problem is actually selling them.. since anyone who can afford them has a better one, and anyone who needs it can’t afford it

Yes and no. You dont loose real money to get good items.

You loose all your ingame currencies trying to get a single good item and get only garbage items as a result. Gambling here is called "crafting".
