Path of Exile 2

Bad Performance: 4070 TI Super, Ryzen 7 78003XD, 32GB RAM, SSD.
I'm assuming it's just poor optimization? DX12 runs like ♥♥♥♥, and DX11 runs better until I move. ;-;

running 7800x3d
+ Win 11 (latest)
+rtx 4070 ti super= butter at 1440p nothing to complain about except I've had a few crashes since the last patch.

I say this not to be a ♥♥♥♥. I'm just assuming that there has to be more to it than those particulate components.

What PSU you using?

Hi friend, Did you restart your game after the switch to Vulkan? I switched + restarted and it seemed to work for me. Switching without restarting gave my PC a hard time and we have a similar build minus the CPU.

Used to run 40-80 FPS with end tier minion build. Usually go from 80-160 now on 4k.

I'm guessing u are on win11?

X3D cpu + Win11 = bed POE2 performance
except when it doesn't.

Yeah I guess its a combination of all those things I am running a 4080 RTX super and Ryzen 7 7800X3D and bloody windows 11. Which I had to re-install just a week or two ago cause it was FUBAR.

Still probably causing issues but that said its absurd to me that no fix has been forthcoming from Microsoft for this kinda ♥♥♥♥.

Just curious, when last time ya'll cleaned up registry or did a proper clean driver update? BIOS update? etc.

Cos had no issues with Win11 for a good number years now, including this recent update. Or this game, or many games really unless I get too aggressive with OC'ing and cause driver timeouts. But thats a me problem, and kinda what getting at here. It can't simply be that AMD systems are more stable than NV. As much as I like AMD, like theres good reasons why NV has the market share.

I am the same. No issues with Windows 11 23H2. I only have a basic laptop RTX 3060 w/64GB DDR4 RAM i7-11800AH processor and a good SSD drive. I hate DLSS and Ray Tracing...not because I cannot run it...but because when I turn them both totally off I can barely tell a difference in the graphics. The only thing I see is the shader bar on the in-game graph spike when a lot of players gather. Otherwise, I am fine.

5600x x 7900xt w/ win11

was 40-50fps, having issues UNTIL I turned OFF all AMD Adrenalin options +
in game up-scaling settings to one of the non FSR default OFF option

3700X x rtx 3070 Ti locked at 60 FPS but on bare bones gutted Window 10 because I got rid of bloat. Everything on high or recommended default but DLSS on Quality.

Yeah, so at this point I confirmed something is extra wrong. I decided to turn EVERYTHING to low and dropped to 1080p, and it sill did not do anything for FPS or stability. lol

1000W

I'm runnin' a 750w. Maybe that is the problem? I was wondering if that was a little too low.
