Getting less crashes by lowering your power requirements (and therefore less heat generated) does not mean you fixed the issue by downgrading your PC because high end PCs are the problem. It could be because now your pc uses less power (bad power supply) and/or generates less heat which stops it locking up.
Lots of people with high end PCs are running the game without issue. Many people have PCs with issues that only show up when some games stress them in certain ways.
You do realize that there are way more possible hardware combinations that also could lead to crashing ?
This is not, many high end pc's can run it so everybody else's rigs are broken or on the edge of dying.
Don't be that naive.
delete the path of exile2 folder in windows roaming. switch from vulcan to directX12 and then back to vulcan wait after every switch for the shader loading. but when you close the game you must restart your pc and Repeat
It's an extra step sure. I think it's better than restarting your PC after getting stunlocked on loading screen.
I mostly only do this on trial of chaos, sekhemas and on the ff maps: lost tower, savannah, steppe.
Both tests should never produce any errors. If they do, you either have unstable settings or faulty hardware.
So far, i still have zero crashes.
The game runs smooth on Vsync at 120-144 FPS in XVI maps.
ridiculous !
There are still occasional freezes, but they are very rare. And if the game does freeze, there's no need to restart the computer—just end the task through Task Manager.

Windows 10, this game was running fine, but after upgrading to Windows 11, the crashes in PoE 2 started.
I'm not happy about it either because i play other games that requires maximum performance (Tarkov) but so far this is the only fix that gave me an absolute ZERO crashes without having to use PoEuncrasher or disabling CPUs or disabling engine multithreading which tanks my FPS down to 30-40.
I tried so many "solutions" in my 220 hours of gameplay that i just didn't believe any fix videos anymore.
But the fact that other games have similar problems recently with high end builds makes me think that something is wrong outside of the game. (GPU drivers, Windows version, D12, D11, Vulkan etc)
I mean, the game definitely has its issues too.
Two things can be true at the same time.
It's recommended to run memtest from a bootable USB, to bypass the operating system.
A single full pass will take several hours, so it's a good idea to do this overnight.
Prime95 should be run under the normal operating system you use, but in torture mode your system will become fairly unresponsive as it will be taken up all CPU cycles.
Unless you have very good CPU cooling, I would not recommend running prime95 in small FFT's mode as you will likely cause your system to abruptly shut down due to overheating of the CPU. Blend is recommended for general stability testing, in place large FFT's for more advanced testing afterwards.
