Balbala the Traitor blows
I freaking hate this fight. She one hits me. Not fun at all.

A boss like this might make me quit this game for good.
Press spacebar.

With this game's focus on one shots, I totally get the frustration. It's the specific reason why this will not be a game in my regular rotation. Yes, the typical answer you'll hear is "just press spacebar, duh." But, that's a weak response with no intelligence behind it.

Pressing spacebar is too hard.

You have to look for the boss when the poison fills the room. The rest is just about dodging, like with every boss. That one is by design more difficult than others on the same level when you encounter it the first time, so when you have problems you can just beat act 2 up to Dreadnought and then do the whole ascendency thing.

if you're getting one shot, you need to improve your build. Either with gear, changing your passive tree skills. Not hard at all.
The slam and concentrated knives should chunk you, start avoiding big hits

I'm just frustrated. I like to feel powerful when playing games because it's the only place I can feel powerful. This game has been a blast up until this point. I'll try to kill the boss again but it's definitely not enjoyable which is the whole point of playing. I like a challenge but what if I can't beat this boss?

Exactly this. Dodge after you pull her out of the gas.

I thought you did in ACT2 to get to trials tbh ive always done it atleast once through each class. ACT 5 you don't have to as you have access to Trials anyway.

You will eventually beat the boss. You should also be able to feel somewhat powerful at that point, you need the gear. Since loot is still not that great, you need to go to the vendors on every level up to look if they have a good basis you can make better through crafting.

As caster you should have a weapon with a considerable amount of +x% Spell damage and hopefully +x% the respective elemental damage you are using. I am talking about numbers above 60%. Same as with physical damage dealer, you want high damage percent on +x% Physical damage and +x to x Physical damage on your weapon.

In my experience, these arent that rare to find and everytime i played the campaign i was able to have a somewhat constant progression even when upgrading to higher tier gear, because +60% and above can bring you considerably far without needing an upgrade to begin with.

Okay but what if after all that I still can't beat the boss?
