Boss/player imbalance
The bosses are so imbalanced compared to your current level. It doesn't make sense to get one shotted by a boss that is the same level as me. I would understand if I was a lower level than the boss, they really need to rework the boss's health bars and the amount of damage they do compared to their level.
Also multiplayer is impossible with a lot of bosses, you just need to hope for good RNG. I get making them harder but the difference between solo and duo is too drastic it's just off-putting.

Bosses aren't stronger dmg wise in multiplayer, only healthier. If you're getting 1 shot by any boss minus a few possibly overtuned attacks e.g. Blackjaw slam, Ultimatum bird tornado, etc., you're not building enough sources of increased max hit on your build (life, mana with MoM, phys taken as elemental, armour/resists, pdr, energy shield, etc.). My partner and I have played through the entire campaign and maps on multiple characters and not even my pure evasion characters were getting 1 shot by almost anything.

You need to work on Energy shiled/Life or dodge one shot mechanics. Almost all of the bosses have one or two attacks that all of us have to dodge. Would't that game be boring for you if you would be able to face tank all bosses with any class?

Yes a creature that is 5x your size shouldn't be able to one-shot you but instead just drop dead and give you all of the best loot in the game without doing anything to get it.

Mabye the act bosses, but not all bosse attacks have to be dogde, it really depends on how tanky you are.

for 1 i thought the monkey slam was a 1 shot, well its not... It was nerfed and now you can survive it.
Level isn't everything. There's gear and skill nodes with all kinds of stats on them to help you from getting one shotted. Sometimes you think you have enough of them, so you put more into offense. Then you get one shot, and you *should* think "oh I guess I do need more defense". Not "oh this game is imbalanced because bosses of my level should never kill me in one hit". Come on bro, get more defense. Let us have one ARPG where the campaign actually offers some kind of challenge. Don't just try to turn this into every other ARPG where campaign is designed to be super easy leveling vehicle just to get you to challenging content after 20 hours of playing. Pleeease let us have this one. Its so refreshing.

skill issue
POE allows you to "fail" on your character.

You need to learn the game better and continue working on your character. This aint D4,
What's imbalanced is how many exalted orbs drop.

Go to the market, find the highest weapon you can use with the best stats or a nice unique. You'll steamroll everything until you get to the Atlas.
I'm playing D4 for the new season, and I couldn't disagree more.

The boss design in PoE2 means there are attacks I have to pay attention to. You can absorb SOME amount of damage, but it's almost never meaningless, and you always have to watch for the big attacks.

This is so much more engaging than face keyboard smash (the D4 bosses tend to do negligible damage or whoops all 1-shots). I love that PoE2 has damage, I'm just giving it more time to cook.

Endgame boss fights are basically trading one shot mechanics to see who dies 1st.

your level is just the number of passives you have allocated.

what level was your gear? i guarantee it was nowhere near the boss level
