exactly this. Both are good and valid games, and GGG didn't do anything shady or worthy of distrust and hatred like so so many of the "enjoyers" are giving them. I've seen people with 4000+ hrs in PoE1 say that the game is dead and "♥♥♥♥ GGG". What's all those hours for if you have no trust or faith in the devs? GO play something else or touch grass

Idk man. PoE2 has over 2x more players right now than poe1 did at it's highest peak ever. They probably didn't expect that it would completely dwarf PoE1 by such a huge margin. Once they seen how massive the audience was, they shifted their priorities a bit for sure. You have a game that struggles to get around 100k players even at it's highest peaks vs. a game that casually has a player base of like 250k daily on 1 platform alone. Yeah. A company is gonna choose to focus more on the game that has more players. That's just how it is. I get that they said it wouldn't effect PoE1. I really do. But if you were in their shoes you'd do the exact same thing ten times out of ten. PoE2 in it's early access, half finished state has been one of the top 5 played games on Steam every day since it's release. That's kind of insane and not something GGG ever could have predicted.

Yo, they did a good jobs with their games, otherwise people would never get this emotional about them. obviously people asked a lot of stuff over the years, and they did answer as good as they could. a lot of stuff changed, and so did their opinions. are they as a company not allowed to change their view onto something, because it makes what they said before a LIE? are they not allowed to think business and make money?
