you mean bad management? Should we let this become the norm? Or as you suggest, if it is the norm already, should i not voice my opinion as a customer?

Crunch is hard, life services are hard. On top in an industry that struggles to find talent. In a country with strict hiring policies. Yes i get all of that.

But constant lies in the past 6 months about POE2 not affecting POE1 were and still are a set-up game.

Those are not broken promises, but lies. A different pair of shoes.

400 ingame hours practically for free. Weird scam in the times where most games wont give you even 20 hours for 60+$. GGG is so bad they cant even scam me properly! SCAM ME HARDER DADDY!

I watched the video and it just confirmed my view that GGG while delivering best live service ARPG consistently over many years is a company that is mismanaged. This is just a latest episode of many failures related to their game. I even saw people praising them for their openness and honest communication. This is a common pattern through out GGG's existence--release bad update, promise to learn from mistakes, release bad update, promise to learn from mistakes, portion of their player base shrugs repetition of their mistakes and praises them for honest communication.

I'm not mad at GGG, I stopped playing PoE1 long time ago so I do not really care. I'm annoyed that they get pass from others no matter how poor their excuse is. Just to remind you, GGG promised their playerbase when PoE2 was announced development teams for those 2 games will be completely separate and developing one will not impact development of the other. It was clearly a lie, now in retrospect, and also insane promise considering how small the company is.

"Ruthless is just a side project some developers are working on in their free time"

"We will devote resources to continue developing PoE 1" <- we are here on the timeline

They made the best game ever made.
They are financially very healthy as we can see in the above linked documents.
I really can't say management is bad then can we ?

But i do think they were a bit optimistic promising PoE1 updates to be continued.

no, I keep my positive reviews for both games

even if PoE1 never got another update. . .it is still a good game and worth a positive review.

even if PoE2 never got an update ( not likely lol ) it is still a good game as is and worth a positive review. . .also I didnt have to pony up $30 for access.
